It’s pretty obvious but the trails around Aviemore are endless! So if you are into your running/walking/biking or all of the afore mentioned, then you’ve probably just arrived in your trail heaven!

There are plenty of Lochs on the doorstep, one of which (Loch Morlich) has the highest sandy beach in the UK. It’s the perfect location for Stand Up Paddle Bording & along with the rivers, then kayaking & canoeing are great options as well.

Hills & mountains surround the Aviemore area, in fact 5 of the 6 highest mountains in the UK can be found in the Cairngorm Mountain range. If you are after a shorter hill day, then there’s plenty of other options available.

Throughout the year there are differnt events that are worth going to, I’ll list a few below, stating which month they take place. Don’t forget Aviemore Parkrun is on each Saturday at 9:30am.
