Scotland's diverse landscapes are home to a variety of wildlife. The Highlands and forests are inhabited by red deer, which roam the hills. The Cairngorms are home to the UK’s only free ranging herd of Reindeer. In the more remote areas, you might spot elusive pine martens and, occasionally, the endangered Scottish wildcat.
